SCHOOL CLOSURES
There are circumstances that require the closure of school due to weather. Fayette County School Corporation will utilize asynchronous eLearning to provide alternative means for students to achieve classroom goals on these days. eLearning activities may be utilized as an educational alternative for learning experiences or activities. eLearning days provide teachers and students opportunities to engage with digital resources, collaborate virtually, and develop digital skills that are used and valued beyond K-12 schooling. eLearning activities are designed to extend, enhance, supplement, or serve as a substitute for onsite classroom instruction. These activities will be delivered asynchronously (without live instruction) as outlined in the Fayette County School Corporation eLearning Handbook for the first two closures. Any subsequent closures will be made up at the end of the school year.
